Melickerheide
The Melickerheide (together with the Luzenkamp) forms the connection between Roermond and National Park de Meinweg. It is a dry shifting sand area with shifting dunes. Most of the area is forested. In the forest there are some pools and a low area. There are also open areas with heathery vegetation. This area is important for connecting animals such as the badger and wild boar.
